The HPE StorageWorks P4000 Unified NAS Gateway consists of one Windows storage server systems. These hardware components are configured in a clustered environment with a P4000 SAN Solution.
The P4000 Unified NAS Gateway provides data services using the CIFS/NFS protocols. The P4000 Unified NAS Gateway also provides data protection services in the form of backup tools HPE Data Protector, Data Protection Manager (DPM), VMWare, and VMware Consolidated Backup (VCB).
The P4000 Unified NAS Gateway is clustered and connected to the HPE P4000 SAN network segment using standard Ethernet IP switches. Up to eight P4000 Unified NAS Gateway nodes can be clustered together.
