This half size card provides one serial port configurable as RS422 with and without hand shaking, or RS485 full or half duplex. This card has on-board zener diodes giving transient spike protection to the inputs, making this card ideal for factory automation installations.
The megabaud data transfer rates and the 128 byte deep FIFO, coupled with the RS485 Half Duplex Autogating guarantee uncompromising performance and fault-free use.
The UART clock can be set through software to provide maximum baud rates of either 921, 600 baud, 460, 800 baud, 230, 400 baud, or 115, 200 baud (standard PC).
