The IGT-1205AT from Planet Technology is an industrial Gigabit Media Converter that offers non-blocking wire-speed performance. This unit permits high versatility for the extension of Gigabit Ethernet in demanding industrial environments. The unit features a single 10/100/1000 Base-TX RJ-45 copper and two 100/1000 Base-XX SFP fiber optic interfaces. In addition, it is housed in a durable IP30 rugged strong case that features redundant power system. The IGT-1205AT is ideal for those seeking to deploy a surveillance system and enabling enhanced wireless service in environments with harsh conditions, ranging in temperatures -40 to 75 degrees C. The two SFP slots on the unit are compatible with 100 Base-FX or 1000 Base-SX / LX / WDM through SFP (Small Form Factor Pluggable) fiber-optic transceivers. The unit's fiber optic uplink ensures that the throughput to all nodes and the Gigabit Ethernet distance has the ability to be extended to 550 meters with Multi-Mode fiber cable and up to 10/20/30/40/50/70/120 kilometers with Single-Mode fiber cable. The Fast Ethernet distance also can be simply extended to 2 km with Multi-Mode fiber cable up to 20/40/60 kilometers. These units are ideal for applications data or distribution centers.
