HPE OnLineJFS provides the online management of the Journaled File System (JFS), a high-integrity, highly available file system supported by HPE-UX. JFS provides higher integrity and faster file system recovery than the UNIX file system. HPE OnLineJFS enhances system availability by enabling the administrative procedures to take place on the Journaled File System with continuous access to data: online resizing, online backups with the file system fully available, online defragmentation and protection against inconsistent backups.
